A
new cosmetic dentistry product, all-porcelain veneers are ultra-thin,
tough translucent shells that are bonded to your teeth. They've become
the technique of choice for treating discolored, chipped, or stained
front teeth.
It
usually takes only two or three visits to our office to perform
the procedure, beginning with diagnosis and planning. It's important
for you to know exactly what's going to be done and how the procedure
works. Following the planning, we prepare your teeth for the porcelain
veneers. We lightly buff their surfaces to allow for the tiny added
thickness of the veneer. Then we take an impression of the teeth
and send it to a laboratory for fabrication.
 When the veneers are
ready, we place them temporarily on your teeth to check their fit
and to get a sense of color. You can help us by providing your opinion.
By changing the color of the cement to be used, we can make sure
we get the exact match you want. Once cemented, the color cannot
be altered. To apply the veneer, the cement is sandwiched between
the veneer and your tooth, and a beam of light is used to harden
the cement. You'll be able to walk out of our office with a bright
new smile.
Please
call us for a consultation to bring your smile to its fullest.
